“Tokai Strat (1984), Tokai Les Paul (2000), Fender Hot Rod Deluxe”
Best gig/concert you’ve been to?
“That’s a tough one. I’ve been to so many. The biggest was Oasis at Knebworth, The best was probably Radiohead in Plymouth or Foo Fighters at the NEC because I was in the mosh pit”
“Has to be my Tokai Strat. It was a Christmas present back in 1992”
When and how did you start playing guitar/singing?
“I’ve played guitar for as long as I can remember. I’d say by the age of seven I was playing ‘The house of the rising sun’. Singing was something I fell into when Martin and I started our first band at 15”
Funniest gig moment?
“Martin: “We’ve only got 30 minutes until we’re on stage and we need to eat, I’ll go to Maccy D’s. What shall I get?”
Blake (former member): “Just get 8 double cheeseburgers!”
Slash and Brian May have a guitar duel…who would win?
“Definitely Slash. Brian May would have to spend an hour playing with his harmoniser pedal first”
What did you have for breakfast?
“Last nights kebab haha. No, Fruit & Fibre or a nice bit of crumpet”
Favourite song to play live?
“I enjoy the energy of a new song, so my favourite is usually the newest addition to the set. Right now it would be ‘Figure it Out’ or ‘Uptown Funk’ “
What’s the last album you downloaded?
“The Balcony – Catfish & The Bottlemen”
What music are you listening to now?
“I like a bit of Simon and Garfunkel to relax. You can’t beat those soft vocal harmonies”
